Karma Mobility, the leading supplier of lightweight wheelchairs and powerchairs has recently refreshed its website www.karmamobility.co.uk in response to user feedback. General Manager Mark Duffield explained: “While our old website was providing adequate support to our marketing activity, we felt certain elements could do with updating to make it even more user and search engine friendly”

One of the main changes has been a link to Google maps, which now enables visitors to obtain not just contact details but a printable map and directions to their nearest Karma Mobility retailer. “For many customers with limited mobility, planning a trip to one of our retailers can be time consuming and we thought by linking the ‘Where to buy’ page to Google Maps, we could make the process of planning a visit a bit easier” continued Mark.

The look of the website follows the same creative concept as the Karma Mobility advertising and point-of-sale material, using lifestyle imagery. This enables visitors to the site to see the products in a day to day environment and therefore envisage themselves in a similar setting. Karma Mobility exhibited at the recent Trade Days event, where Mark received a positive response to the look and feel of the new site from many retailers.

Karma has been providing the industry with lightweight wheelchairs since 1987. It took over the exclusive distribution rights in the UK and Ireland in 1999, and since then has gone from strength to strength. Supplying the NHS and numerous mobility retailers throughout the UK with its high-quality wheelchairs, Karma ensures that the outstanding design of every product is extensively tested and evaluated before being placed on the market. This ensures that products stand the test of time and prove to be good long term investments.
