Etac R82, a renowned supplier of specialist disability equipment for all ages, from young children to adults, will be exhibiting and hosting education seminars at Kidz to Adultz in the Middle, 10 March at the Ricoh Arena, Coventry.
The Etac R82 product range is highly regarded by healthcare professionals and families and includes the trusted R82, Etac, Molift and Immedia brands. Their high quality assistive products include wheelchairs, buggies, standing, walking, toileting and bathing aids as well as manual and mechanical transfer aids.
On stand D1, Etac R82 will be showcasing a wide range of these products including the innovative R82 Gazelle standing frame, Mustang and Crocodile walking aids, Stingray car seat and x:panda seating system. Visitors to Kidz will be able to witness first-hand the unique features of the world-class x:panda which include a multi-adjustable configuration, patented recline adjustment and dynamic backrest.
A selection of R82 toilet and bathing products such as the Heron Manatee, Flamingo and Penguin will also be on display. The Etac portfolio, Molift hoists and the sit-to-stand Molift Raiser will be demonstrated to illustrate how carer support can be optimised and user dignity maximised. With particular interest to parents, Andrew King, Etac’s Sales Manager, will present the Molift Air hoist and Molift Smart portable folding hoist, along with essential advice regarding hoist and sling selection for transferring children. As a further product highlight, the revolutionary Headpod, a suspension head support system which promotes midline symmetry and active control, will be showcased on stand D1.
Expert R82 Clinical Consultants will be holding ‘must attend’ product workshops and will be available for questions on a one-to-one basis. These consultants include Frances George, Specialist Physiotherapist, MSc, BSc, HPC, MCSP who will discuss the benefits of abducted standing in children with Cerebral Palsy using a current R82 case study. Gail Russell, Occupational Therapist, BSc, PG Cert will be talking about working with children with asymmetric posture, pressure care and dynamic seating which will include the new x:panda workbook, as well as hosting one of the event’s free CPD accredited seminars: “Essential Requirements for Seating Intervention”. Delegates will learn the importance of a physical assessment to ensure appropriate individual seating support with optimal positioning for function and participation.
