Belvidere Lifts has gained the highest level of partnership in the Stiltz three-tier dealer programme after installing their first domestic lift in a 17th century home in Shrewsbury.

Customer Maurice Allen was having to ‘crawl’ up the stairs every night to reach his bedroom from a spinal condition which became progressively worse. The 81-year-old has a prolapsed disc causing lower back pain and muscle weakness and he uses crutches and an electric wheelchair to get around.

Maurice and his wife, Christine, have been living in the two-bedroom Grade-II listed cottage they share together since 1989 and the property is more than 300 years old. The house, however, had a very narrow turning spiral staircase and a traditional stairlift would not fit. The customer said the Stiltz Home Lift had ‘improved his quality of life immeasurably’ and ‘had enabled him to get his independence back’.

Gino Farruggio, UK Trade Sales Director for Stiltz Lifts, said: “We are delighted to welcome Belvidere Lifts as a Stiltz Lifts Premier Partner. They carried out all the required training and have now successfully installed their first Stiltz Home Lift which is fantastic news.

“The team at Belvidere Lifts are very ambitious and they recognised that now is a great time to partner with Stiltz Lifts and reap the rewards of being a pioneer in the growth of the home lift market in this country.”
