Alongside other world-leading brands from Etac, Balder electric wheelchairs will be showcased with evolving product features and a refreshed identity at Naidex National (Stand C140, NEC, 28-30th April 2015).
The Balder name continues to be synonymous with powerchair assured quality, reliability and comfort. This range of adult and junior electric wheelchairs from Etac will be presented under the Balder brand at Naidex National for the first time in several years. Due to the continued popularity and trusted heritage of this badge, Etac has taken the strategic decision to re-position its product naming convention back to Balder. The logotype however has been evolved to reflect the innovative developments planned for the range of which, initial product enhancements will be illustrated at Naidex this year. These include the integration of a pioneering gyroscope for even better driving stability, upgraded upholstery and ergonomically improved armrests. Senior Product Specialists from Etac will be available to demonstrate the Balder Finesse, E800 series and XP powered wheelchair ranges throughout the three-day exhibition. The Balder models on stand C140 will illustrate the vibrant and unique body moulding finishes that can be achieved through Etac UK’s bespoke colour specification service.
Scandinavian designed and built Balder electric wheelchairs represent the latest in assistive technology for individuals with limited movement. They incorporate high levels of powered functionality so a multitude of varied seating positions can be achieved assisting with pressure management, circulation and day-to-day living. Users can also drive around in a smooth and controlled manner and high levels of manoeuvrability are provided through front wheel drive.
Both the Balder F290 and E890 powerchairs can power an appropriate individual into a standing position safely and securely. This provides several therapeutic benefits including improved circulation and muscle strengthening, whilst eye-to-eye engagement is possible with able-bodied people. The Balder F280 incorporates a specialist tilt-in-space reclining action for pressure management and the F270 provides a popular entry-level wheelchair. Fun graphics can be applied to personalise a child’s powerchair and if more advanced postural support is required, the Balder XP with flexible R82 x:panda seating system is ideal. As wheelchair accessible vehicles will be available to test drive at Naidex once more, Etac will also be displaying its Balder Automatic Tie-down System for drive-from-wheelchair capabilities.
