Pride Mobility announced that they have named a new range of lift chairs after one of their longest serving sales representatives who sadly passed away last year.
Guy Hudson passed away from a rare form of cancer last year and is sorely missed by the team at Pride. Pride took the decision to honour Guy by naming the new range of lift chairs the Hudson range.
For an initial period, Pride will be donating a percentage of each sale to the UK’s only Cholangiocarcinoma Charity, Alan Morement Memorial Fund (AMMF), who helped support Guy and his family through his battle with cancer.
The chairs, which are manufactured in the UK, feature a choice of three separate back supports, a number of different fabrics and are all named after Guy’s favourite places to visit.
The official announcement of the Hudson range was made at a successful open day held at Pride headquarters in August. Retailers and industry professionals were invited together to celebrate the new range and also offered the chance to scoop up some bargains in an auction.
Once the auction had finished, Pride drew a raffle in aid of AMMF – prizes even included an iPad Mini that was won by Bristol Mobility!
£155.00 was raised for the AMMF charity.
Paul Everett, Managing Director of Pride Mobility, told us:
“The Open Day was not only a great chance for us to show our new range of products, it was also an opportunity for us to discuss the new direction we are heading in.”
On show was a number of new products including the re-engineered Go Chair, the new Jazzy Air with a focus on social mobility and the new Hudson range.
“The British manufactured Hudson range demonstrates our new way of thinking and creating innovative products, which have been designed through feedback from our dealer network. It is extremely heart-warming knowing that Guy would be proud of the new Hudson range and it perfectly complements our approach to not only business but also product design.”
“The Open Day was a fantastic success, as it allowed our retailers to get a better idea of the inner workings of Pride Mobility and for us to grow further business relationships. The compliments we received during the day about our new range of products was exceptional and extremely encouraging.”
